It consists of a thorough warm-up, 10 mini step combo’s alternated with 10 super advanced intensity blasts, and a well deserved stretch. Each mini-step combo is fast paced yet easy to learn since it repeats itself six times before moving onto the blast. The blasts are high-impact and highly demanding. Feel free to lower your step height or modify any movements while learning the format of this workout. Once you have mastered the technique you are encouraged to give it your all for maximum benefits.

Cathe Friedrich is a certified professional group fitness instructor who has been teaching fitness classes for over 30 years and was inducted into the Fitness Hall of Fame in 2011. Cathe Friedrich’s Imax 3 is a fast-paced 60-minute cardio step workout DVD consisting of a 9-minute warm-up, 10 mini step combo’s alternated with 10 interval blasts, and a cool down complete with a stretch
Keeping with our Imax tradition, the 32 count step combo’s will each be repeated 6 times before moving into the intensity blasts
The Imax intensity blasts are at times longer than the step combo’s themselves. Each aerobic step blast consists of a combination of about 2 to 3 intense moves (per blast) that repeats itself about 4 times (per blast) and gradually brings you to your lactate threshold
You will find that all the cardio step blasts vary in length and intensity keeping your muscles challenged and inspired
